Outdoor and In-Home maternity photography capturing beauty, connection and anticipation - Hertfordshire, London, Essex and beyond
Congratulations!
There’s so much good stuff on its way
I’m so excited for you! Bringing new life into the world is such a special chapter that it deserves to be cherished. My sessions are all about celebrating motherhood in all its beauty – that natural connection of you and your unborn baby as you feel them growing inside you, the expectation of that moment when you finally get to meet them, the miracle that is the creation of another soul.

Whether you'd prefer your pregnancy photoshoot to be in the countryside, on a beach, in the city or in your own home, we'll create beautfiul images to remember this special time forever.

How it works
I offer both in-home and outdoor maternity shoots – some people have a preference, others are simply guided by the seasons. This is something we will discuss during our consultation call, along with getting to know each other a little better. You are welcome to include partners, children and even pets in the shoot – I always feel that this special time in your life ought to be documented alongside those you love.
The session will be lightly directed and will usually last around an hour or so. A short time after this you’ll receive a private online gallery filled with stunning images from our time together, ready for you to choose from.

How much does a maternity photoshoot cost?
Please note – the session fee does not include any digital downloads or prints. These can be purchased separately by choosing one of the collections.

Frequently asked questions
Here are some answers to common questions I'm asked. I hope you find this helpful, but if you still have a question, please do get in touch.
Still have a question? Get in touchWhen’s the best time to have my maternity shoot?
The sweet spot is usually between 32 and 36 weeks – you’ve got a lovely bump, but hopefully still feel comfortable enough to move around and enjoy the session. That said, it’s never too early to get booked in!
Can my partner or older children be in the photos too?
Of course! These photos are about your journey into (or through) motherhood, and that often includes your nearest and dearest. We’ll keep the focus on you but capture some family moments too. And if you have any furbabies, they’re also more than welcome!
Do you have a studio?
I’ve made the choice to focus on capturing the beauty of my families in their homes and having fun outdoors. To me, it feels much more special to be able to capture a moment in time in these environments, so I don’t have a studio.
How quickly can I get booked in?
This entirely depends on the type of booking you’re looking for and my current schedule. I would recommend getting in touch as far in advance before the required date as possible, particularly if you’re looking for a weekend session.
Where will my photoshoot take place?
I’m very flexible with locations, and travel up to 30 minutes from my home near Bishops Stortford is included within the cost. Anything further will incur a small travel fee, however this will be discussed on booking.
I don’t have a studio, so my photoshoots happen at home or outdoors depending on your preference and the time of year. It’s all about keeping things comfortable and personal. I’m happy to chat through options that suit your style.
I really don’t know how to pose for photos – help!
Honestly – do not worry! As my style of photography is pretty natural, a lot of the time you won’t even realise you’re ‘posing’. I incorporate a lot of laughter and games into my shoots (especially the family shoots where there are younger children involved!) – the best results come from those in-between moments when you are unaware of the camera. Some shots I will lightly direct you, and for these I wouldn’t expect you to know what to do! I’ll help you out every step of the way, so you can rest easy on this one.
What shall I wear for my photoshoot?
After you’ve confirmed your booking and your deposit has been paid, you will receive a Client Guide, which will give you lots of information about what happens from now on, including some guidance on outfit choices for your shoot. I have a number of items available in my client closet which you are very welcome to wear, including dresses suitable for maternity, newborn and family shoots, in addition to some children’s clothing. It’s a good idea to think about what you are wearing far enough in advance in case you decide you’d like to purchase something specially for the shoot, and I’m really happy to give advice on your choices. I encourage people to send me over a quick snap of what they’re thinking of wearing, and I’m happy to provide any styling advice if needed.
How long will the photoshoot take?
Maternity and family shoots generally last between 45 minutes and an hour. A newborn session will be longer as we allow plenty of time for feeding, nappy changes etc., so we’d expect this usually to last between two and three hours.
