There’s something about newborn photography that just melts my heart. That fleeting, exhausting, overwhelming and beautfiul time that is your baby’s first few weeks on this earth.
Teeny fingernails, gently rooting lips, the warm body of a sleeping infant pressed on your chest, and that sweet newborn smell – let me bottle up for you exactly how it felt in this moment.
Natural, unposed images to tell the story of your new arrival. A relaxed experience for you to remember this special time forever.
What happens during a newborn photoshoot?
My newborn sessions typically take place in-home, which mean you can relax without the added stress of getting out of the house with a newborn. It captures a special slice of your life as it is now – at this precious moment when your world has just changed – recording your family at home and allowing you to look back on the things you hold dear for years to come.
Usually newborn sessions take place when your baby is between 5 and 14 days old, although they can absolutely happen outside of this.
The session will be lightly directed and will usually last between two and three hours. This might sound like a really long time, but don’t worry, you won’t even notice the time passing! The sessions are very relaxed and allow time to be led by baby – if a feed or a change is needed, then there’s plenty of time for this to happen.
A short time after your session you’ll receive a private online gallery filled with stunning images from our time together, ready for you to choose from.

Which areas do you cover?
Living in such a well connected area means I’m lucky enough to be able to offer newborn photoshoots in a number of areas! I shoot within Hertfordshire including areas around Bishop’s Stortford, Hertford, Cheshunt, into North and East London, Cambridgeshire, and also Essex, including Saffron Walden, Chelmsford, Epping, Brentwood and further afield.
If you are outside of these areas, please do still get in touch. I’m very happy to travel depending on my schedule. I charge a small fee for my time and travel expenses for locations further than 30 minutes from my Bishop’s Stortford address, but this can be discussed on our consultation call.

Please note - the session fee does not include any digital downloads or prints. These can be purchased separately when choosing one of the collections
Have you considered a Baby Milestones Package?
This package offers a total of three shoots at a discounted rate for you to schedule as you choose. A popular option is to book a Newborn, a Sitter (approx 6 months) and a First Birthday session. Such an amazing way to make sure your baby’s first year is captured for you to treasure forever.
